hey, I'm alex 👋

I'm a full-stack engineer and creative, and I've been building for the Apple ecosystem for 10+ years using Objective-C/C++, Swift, AppKit, UIKit, SwiftUI and various combinations of all of these.

I've always been driven to ship polished projects with clean APIs, and back in the day I built PXSourceList (a standardised sidebar view for macOS) and PXListView (an optimised list view) which shipped in some pretty big apps, including early versions of Sketch.

🚀 What am I doing now?

These days I'm building projects in Swift, SwiftUI and TypeScript.

I'm currently focusing on:

• LlamaChat: an open-source Messages-style SwiftUI app for macOS which allows you to chat with the LLaMA family of text generation models in a beautiful, easy-to-use interface.
• llama.swift: a Swift library which wraps llama.cpp and allows you to use the LLaMA family of models through a modern, simple Swift interface.
