Inquiry on Retrieving DDC/CI Codes #731
Comments
Hi @julllleee, I recommend ControlMyMonitor for exploring the VCP codes available for your monitor: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/control_my_monitor.html You may want to look up how to factory reset your monitor in the event that you accidentally change something that makes your display unusable. |
I scoured the web for any way to reset it but i couldn't find any way. The only way to reset it is to enter the settings from the buttons on the physical device. However this would open up a menu on the display and you could navigate to the reset option. I checked as well and even found a guide how to open the display but didn't seem like any way to reset the memory that way, the only way i could think of is if i remember the exact combination of the button presses, to reset the screen from the menu that shows up. In case the screen goes black. But I'm not really sure I would rather have a physical hard reset. Do you have any idea how to find this or point me in any direction? Thanks for your reply :) |
Thanks again @xanderfrangos the program you posted worked flawlessly and i got all the functions i want. I just wonder if there is any way to have a hotkey that first set one value then next time it sets the second? I tried to use adjust but then i can get it to go from 15-17(next for display input) But if i keep pressing it after it just goes up, i would need it to go back to 15. I also tried to cycle both values but then it just first goes to 15 then 17 on the same hotkey press. I ended up using two hotkeys but I would love to be able to use one if possible. I posted a image of my hotkeys if that's any help. Really appreciate any help i can get :) |
I think what you're looking for is a single action on a single hotkey, using the "Cycle" option. You need to set the first value to 15 and then add a second value for 17. (Or 17 then 15.) Multiple actions on a hotkey fire at the same time. I hope that helps! |
I am relatively new to GitHub and am seeking guidance regarding the acquisition of default DDC/CI codes for display's monitors, specifically for model G27q-20. My goal is to fully utilize Twinkle by accessing a comprehensive list of these codes. Although I have successfully identified codes for adjusting brightness and turning off the display, I am interested in exploring further functionalities. My attempts to find model-specific/manufacture DDC/CI codes through standard searches have not yielded results.
Could you advise on methods or scripts available for systematically identifying these DDC/CI codes? Any assistance or direction to relevant resources would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support.
