MacOS crash when certain applications render on external HiDPI screen. #2981

Certain applications (I'm guessing apps using OpenGL) are crashing my MacBook Pro M3 Max if the window is on a specific external monitor, but only if I've enabled HiDPI in BetterDisplay.

List of applications that have caused it so far:

scrcpy
VelociDrone
Smaart

The specific screen also has a custom EDID config to disable YCbCr.

This does not seem to be a BetterDisplay related issue but a generic macOS one. Sadly macOS became somewhat unstable lately when dealing with external displays. Typical reasons for crashes include using accessibility zoom, sleep-wake etc. OpenGL was deprecated by Apple and apps using OpenGL may experience various issues as well.
