Hey @samthakur587, there seem to be a few failures arising as a result of these changes, for e.g. this import would have to be added in a try-except. Could you also please check if the same can be enabled in the other backends as well? Thanks for looking into this 😄

added the tpu support to torch backend
in this PR i have made some changes that required to support the torch_xla but i haven't test this in local on tpu environment to catch all the error.
