"set modeindicator false" only applys after reloading the page #4738

Brief description of the problem:
When toggeling modeindicator the change only applies after reloading the page (or sometimes when changing the mode?)
Steps to reproduce:

Go Into Command Mode: :
Enter set modeindicator false
See that mode indicator is still visible
Reload Page
See that mode indicator is now hidden

Tridactyl version: 1.23.0
Firefox version: 115.0.2
