Hello!

Absolutely love this script; I'm currently modifying it slightly to adapt to macOS.

I'm doing a basic verify on a small batch of freshly encoded albums in FLAC, and when I attempt to, I receive the error, "./redoflacs: line 1813: columns: expression recursion level exceeded (error token is "columns")"

I'm using the latest version of bash via Homebrew, but it also happens in the new default zsh shell.

Any advice would be super welcome and very appreciated!

Same here, sadly I never found a way to use this tool on MacOS

Thank you. After a short while of no replies, I discovered lima and that worked flawlessly. It's a shame; such a awesome tool and the author doesn't even bother to acknowledge a question.

Yikes - I don't remember seeing this. Apologies.

Development has stagnated on this tool, but I had/have a bunch of changes under the hood that I haven't had a chance to get deployed yet - some of which would make it slightly more portable across UNIX-y OSes.

The columns recursion was something I found happened to users many years back when running on Windows via Cygwin many years ago and I had provided a variant of this script called redoflacsw.

That alternative script is also no longer maintained.
Maybe I'll find some time to continue the rewrite I was working on.

Sorry for the delay in responding.
