Describe what happened:
I was working remotely with a partner through Live Share on VSCode when I had to close my laptop lid temporarily. When I returned, my partner informed me that I had "left" the session, but I was still able to edit files. The Live Share chat showed that I had ostensibly left the session, and on my partner's end there were supposedly 0 participants. Additionally, my cursor was invisible. Effectively, I could make changes with no discernible source.

I was able to reproduce this a 2nd time immediately.

What was your system configuration?
Product and Version [VS/VSCode]: VSCode
OS Version[macOS/Windows]: macOS Ventura 13.5
Live Share Extension Version: v1.0.5877
Target Platform or Language [e.g. Node.js]: TypeScript

Steps to Reproduce / Scenario:

  1. As a participant, join a Live Share collaborative session
  2. Close your laptop lid (desktops, possibly enter Sleep mode?) and wait a few minutes
  3. Reopen your computer and return to VSCode
  4. Live Share will take much longer than usual to reconnect
  5. Eventually it will reconnect, but not informing the host.
