@mattmezza Auto-tracking of read/unread messages might be useful, and will simplify the API as newMessagesCount prop won't be needed anymore.

On a side-note, do you think it'd be okay to configure stalebot to just tag issues with "stale" and not auto-close them? It seems to cause a loss of people's work who've filed bug reports/feature or pull requests, and may cause duplicate issues (as closed issues are not included in search by default), or possibly cause people to fight it by commenting on tickets to keep things visible.
