Every new tab on firefox (windows 7) I have to click on the toolbar to start typing, unlike the default firefox, where it already let me start typing by the moment the new tab is opened.
If weren't for this, I would be using tabliss.

I'm not able to reproduce this on Windows 11 or Ubuntu 20.04 on new tab or on startup. However, a workaround that might work for you is Ctrl + L instead of clicking on the toolbar. Additionally, if you search "typing" in the firefox settings, there's an option to Search for text when you start typing that might fix the issue you're mentioning although this applies to every website. If you're on Firefox 73 or lower, it might be in Tools > Options > Advanced > General or in Preferences > General > Browsing.
