MacOS Monterey, not able to get terminal UI working, searches limited repos

I have several git repos under /usr/local/src (100s). When I run gitbatch, either from the binary provided or by compiling the GO src, with "." as the directory under /usr/local/src (or not), gitbatch only parses about 30 repos, but acknowledges I have over 400.

I am not able to use the terminal options (TAB, SPACE) etc. My TERM=xterm-256color, which is standard on MacOS.
