The problem

Hey folks,

I am using the Tuya Integration with my Heat Pump, a Poolex Silverline FI. So far it works like a charm (temperatures, heat modes etc). So no issues here, there is a small "but", however.

The supported hvac modes are "off, heat" only. But the Pump itsels (and in the Tuya / Smart Life App) supports On, Off Eco Heat, Eco Cool, Boost Heat, Boost Cool, Auto and Off.

It would be swell if I could enable the boost mode (and disable it) with this integration. That's the only part missing.

Thanks guys!

Hey there @tuya, @zlinoliver, @frenck, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (tuya) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

I have the same issue with a different climate "Suntec Air Conditioner 12.000 BTU/h".

It used to work when device was integrated "the old way" via tuya integration and tuya cloud development account.
Since the update to the integration and re-configuration via Smart Life App Scan QR Code the functionality broke and I can no longer choose the HVAC Modes "dry" , "fan" and "heat" - only "Off" and "Cool" are available. (Smart Life or Tuya Smart both same issue).

Please look into this - all issues found googling lead to old issues with the old integration. Possibly this broken state does only reflect to certain devices?
