Thank you for the report! This UX sucks :) However, there is a fundamental issue with Kanban boards: they are not effective for complex processes and subprocesses, including engineering processes. Therefore, we are seriously reconsidering the application of Kanban boards and plan to drastically overhaul them.

One area where Kanban proves useful is in limiting WIP, a feature not enforced by many tools (including Kanban tools). On the other hand, there are better tools available for controlling WIP. Regardless, we are prepared to either significantly rework or completely replace Kanban with other tools.
