Dear @haacked ,

as I do often run in a similar situation, I was thinking that I should have something out of the box, as your Rothko project, that will supply to my need of abstracting system resources.
I would like to contribute and I do think that I have a couple of good ideas.
Is this project still active and do you still have interest in following it?

Thanks

Mario

It is still active. What do you have in mind?

What I do notice is that HttpClient is regularly "left in code" as dependency that makes code hardly testable. I would like to see also an IHttpClient interface defined in Rothko.
Also it will be nice to have the current code enriched with async methods where appropriate.
Aside to this, a NuGet package will be a nice to have.
Documentation can be made, containing examples of usage of Rothko for less experienced people.

I'm sure more time I spend on it, more ideas I'll get.

I agree. HttpClient is what is sorely missed.
