If you are running Grouparoo on machine image you manage yourself (as opposed to Docker, Kubernetes, or a platform-as-a-service like Heroku or Google App Engine)... or even a "bare metal" server, you'll need a way to keep the Grouparoo app up-and-running.
PM2 is a great application manager for node.js which can run processes in the background, monitor them, and restart them.
It’s like
systemd
for node! PM2 itself is managed by your Operating System’s init system (systemd
,launchd
