7900 XTX scores WAY too low #205
Comments
Hey there, I just got a 7900 XTX of my own and these are my results:
As you can see, I scored 35331, not quite as low as your score of |
you are running on a later kernel that might explain the difference Fedora is a bit behind. https://www.reddit.com/r/glmark2_scores/comments/tjjuu7/amd_radeon_rx_5700_xt_19217/ here is an example of a rx5700 which scores 19000 again the 7900xtx should have WAY more https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2131425&page=17 here is the thread i was talking about but i missremebered he has 34k with a 2080ti so your score is slightly faster. |
I'll leave this here for everyone who needs a relief:
This is my score on Ubuntu 23.04 + X11. I'm using Mesa 23.1.6 - kisak-mesa PPA because of Starfield. With Ubuntu's default mesa package I get heavy artifacts, especially in outside areas. My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 9 3950x. I guess this could be part of the reason for the low score, but it's still very low compared to the other participants posted. |
lol i got a score of 94 using a Q45 iGPU |
tbh glmark also stresses the cpu so a low score may be a not powerful cpu (im no maintainer just a hypothesis ig) |
but not a score that bad with a 7800X3D, thats unusual |
also u must run it with no background apps and... perhaps a driver issue ? |
Hi there,
there seems to be a problem with using the 7900xtx (probably the other rdna3 too)
I get a score of 26599 with default settings on wayland. I found an old benchmark thread where a 2080ti scores over 33000
The 7900xtx should be running circles around that card.
if i can help testing somehow let me know
