So I have been looking into the code for wg-easy (what this widget would use, as that is what I use as my server) and the way that the current "how many users are "connected" works" is that the rendered js page looks to see if the tx/rx values for the client have changed since the last page load, and if it has show as connected, this is a bit rubbish, but I could recreate that logic quite easily in homepage, but not too sure on how @shamoon @benphelps would feel about that sort of logic being done on the fly (maybe depends on the page load speed implication?) The alternative option would be for me to fork we-easy and modify the api to expose this, I would rather not have to make my own fork for people to run for this to work, as there are already lots of forks floating about, and if I do just work out connected based on tx/rx movement, then it would work for all forks. what do you guys think? |
