Wemos ESP32-S2 Mini + Rpi 3.5inch Display Problem

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with Esphome + Wemos ESP32-S2 Mini + Rpi 3.5inch Display. I have been searching for a long time but I could not find a solution.

My problem is as follows;
I can run the hardware i mentioned above with the TFT_eSPI library using Arduino IDE or VsCode without any problems. The chip of the display is ILI9486. However, when I want to use it in EspHome with the same hardware and pin structure, the image on the screen is divided into vertical or horizontal pixels depending on the orientation of the screen and half of them are positioned in separate places.

For example, in the picture I attached, there should be only one filled square, but it appears on the screen vertically in two parts, one column up and the other column down.

By the way, the Touch feature works smoothly.

You need PSRAM on the esp32 to allow using ILI9486.

I have 2MB PSRAM and its working with TFT_eSPI as i said...

4Sadly the esphome display driver works different then the TFT_eSPI.
From my understanding the ILI9486 does not support SPI directly.
Did you also tried the ILI9488, when not could you test the other drivers as well?

Yes i tried all combinations of ilixxxx models. Only ili9486 worked. But didnt try the script you mentioned. I'll try and let you know when i back to home...

May be i need 4MB PSRAM. I think i dont have enough ram after esphome firmware...

Neah, 2MB is more then enough, i think it has to do with the screen resolution. Could you try to rotate the resolution with:
