So just a standard install from command line, using pip3. I think 2022.9.4 is the time I last upgraded (not working on this every day, not always thinking I need to be on bleeding edge) So I cannot get it to update. pip just thinks this is the latest version. Why is it not updating past 2022.9.4 ???
Interesting, esptools and esphome-desktop are available in newer versions, and they do install nicely, but pip downgrades them whenever I (try to) upgrade esphome, because it thinks that is the requirement for esphome. I just want to be able to use some newer keywords for my device. |

OK. Seems I did download the latest 3.11 and install it.
But I forgot to click the
add python to environment variable
option.Restarted the installed, checked the environment variable, and now it all works, thanks.
