How far did you get with the documentation already available about the subject of contributing code? Also, you might want to join the Discord server for ESPHome. There you have the possibility to have conversations with the friendly community members. |

Hello, i am a developer who created a reversible motor control class on arduino which (as far as i know) has capabilities still not available on esphome, and want to create the integration. To be used on window blinds || window shutter || garage door || electric curtain.
Additional features:
-Aperture percentage guess
-Mechanical resting delay to prevent direct reversing.*1
-Can be installed alongside phisical up/down interruptors/pushButtons *2
Basic configuration: 2 relay (+1 for phisical buttons), estimated opening/closing time.
Extended configuration: motor mechanical breaking time, inverse relay output, relay activation time.
Non generic dependencies: EEPROM.h
Periodicaly need: blind.run()
I'm just asking for a basic explanation about how/where to begin the development/integration, 'cause i have no idea about esphome code structure, just need an overseeing, got very few time 😔.
*1 Very important when using heavy window shutters/doors to prevent reactive inductance shock on relays.
*2 Aditional relay needed, see schema
