Can't paste to Discord (Electron) #307

I am running Discord inside of Cage in a Wayland compositor (niri) and I am not able to paste anything into Discord from my clipboard. I have a suspicion that it might be an issue with electron apps generally but have not yet been able to confirm this.

However it also seems to affect VS Code and 1password which i think are electron apps as well.

ah that is possible, I was not sure what to search for but I could not find anything about this in regards to discord/electron
