An option to pin conversions and filter non contact senders would be nice

Thanks for the feature request! I had considered this before as well, though my concern is that it may cause confusion if it's not consistently implemented across all Apple and AirMessage clients.

Conversation pinning is officially supported by Apple, but there's no API to pin or unpin conversations.

Incoming message filtering isn't supported by Apple at all, so people would end up receiving messages on their Apple devices that don't show up on AirMessage.

If you have any thoughts or workarounds for these issues, please let me know!

Well I mean more on the local app side. Like pining localy cause I have a lot of conversations but only need a few on top.

And for filtering unknown that could also be local based on if it exists as a contact.

I don't know what cloud storage api is in use but if worse if it needs to be synced it could be stored on the personal storage as a plist

Pinning could be implemented and synced across AirMessage clients through AirMessage Server - for example, pinning a conversation on your Android phone would also make it pinned on the web app.

However, it's not possible to make it such that pinning a conversation on iOS causes it to also become pinned on AirMessage clients.

Then again, AirMessage for Android does support archiving conversations, which doesn't get synced anywhere.

I'd be fine if pinning on AirMessage doesn't pin on Apple devices or other AirMessage clients. It's a really handy feature.

I'm with mike on this one. I appreciate the syncing of pinned messages between iOS and AirMessage is problematic. Having the ability however to pin on AirMessage, even if it isn't synced on iMessage would be a great feature.
