Hello all, not everyone may be aware but py-kms was DMCA takedown'd and then reversed. I think it is important to document the decision as to why. I am unfortunately unable to find the previous issue addressing this or the rationale for reinstating py-kms.

Where is the best place to make note of this? youtube-dl should be covered by similar logic but is not having much luck, so I think it is fair to worry about this project again.

py-kms does break copy protection, but the DMCA explicitly allows breaking copy protection when you are licensed to use the work.

I guess the wiki/docs is the best place for this. Maybe a new section for DMCA/Legality of this project? And in there listing all claims (similar to the change log list)? Maybe you could prepare a PR for this, as I have currently too little time 😅
