Tried to root on C9, webos 4.5, v5.00.30. It goes to a screen saying Certificate Not Trusted - Error Code: -501. I then hit retry and this is the screen I get. Any ideas??

Seems like it should have worked. W19O (O18 2019) firmware 05.00.30 (webOS 4.9.1) should be vulnerable to RootMyTV v1 and v2.

You can try some of the stuff I mentioned here, in particular hosting it locally. It is quite possible that alibaba will work in that situation. You can also try changing the priority to use a different app (acrcard or facebooklogin).

Further details: rootmy.tv uses Cloudflare. Until a few days ago, Cloudflare had been providing TLS with a CA certificate that was trusted on older webOS firmware. It seems that now the only certificates available via Cloudflare (unless you pay) are from Let's Encrypt, and their CA isn't trusted on older webOS firmware. And if you update your firmware, RootMyTV will no longer work.

No idea why it worked when you retried.

@Informatic has put up a mirror of RootMyTV using a different CA at https://rootmytv.inf.re/.
