[Feature Request] Display in-game date

Showing the current date somewhere.

Relative to what? Is there a plot that has a time limit,?

Elapsed time since the start of the game would be good. Hours played or something?

The savegame already stores current day, month and year as well as the amount of years passed. IIRC the start year is 978.

The problem with this is, that it is not stored with the current savegames. So this feature would require a savegame format change which would make the original savegames incompatible. This is something I would like to avoid for now.
