Describe the bug

Using the "glass" option in taskbar look options, causes most of windows to lag heavily. Changing to Opaque or Transparent does not present the same issue.

Area of issue

Taskbar

To reproduce

  1. Enable "Glass" option in Taskbar look settings.
  2. Drag a window behind the taskbar.

Expected behavior

Moving a window behind a taskbar causing no lag.

Open-Shell version

4.4.191

Windows version

Windows 11 21H2

Additional context

I do also have DWM Blur Glass installed as well as ExplorerPatcher, but the issues started happening out of the blue, and a while after installing all of those.
