It is not possible for Open-Shell installer to uninstall Explorer.

Maybe what you experienced was that installer asked to restart Explorer (because it still used Open-Shell binaries that were going to be deleted), but then Explorer didn't start and you saw empty screen.
This happens from time to time (not only for Open-Shell) and we have no clue why.

If you are in such situation, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to run Task manager and then start Explorer via File -> Run new task.

I already did this and explorer.exe was missing from system32, I even restarted the computer and nothing happened, then I just reset windows.

explorer.exe was missing from system32

Explorer is located in C:\Windows\explorer.exe. There is no need to browse for it, just type explorer in the dialog and run it.

I even restarted the computer and nothing happened

Blank screen again?
Then I guess something blocked Explorer from running. Hard to tell what.

then I just reset windows

I assume you are no longer able to replicate the issue, right?

Oki, so I guess we can close this issue as there is nothing we can do with it.
