What feature do you want to see added?

A command to temporarily pause automatic backups. This can be useful when there is very little player activity on the server and not worth backing up.

Are there any alternatives?

Using the config, but in-game cmd would be nice.

You can set backups-require-players into true at config.yml like this:
backups-require-players: true
