Hi, so does this happen on any song, or is it a specific song it's getting stuck on.

Could I have some more information about your device? (amount of ram, etc.)

Alright, this is going to be a difficult issue to track down.

What version of Windows 10 are you running? (You can see the version under Settings ->System -> About).

What version of SoundByte are you running? (Click the three dots menu on the top right, "Help and feedback", and then "About").

Does the app eventually crash after freezing, go back to normal, or stay frozen?

Does the app ever freeze when playing a song for the first time?

Have you noticed any correlation between SoundByte freezes and other apps/games that are open?

Does the freezing always happen (so everytime you open the app, it will eventually freeze), or does it work fine sometimes?

  1. Windows 10 Home 1809 (17763.437) (In the older version, the same thing happened )
  2. 19.1.3 @ 12/01/2019 1:47 PM (In the older version, the same thing happened )
  3. Stay Frozen
  4. No, from what I noticed only when changing to the next song
  5. No, only SoundByte is frozen
  6. Always freezing

What I've noticed so far that it freezes at any moment if in background. Sometimes, it works fine but at most, it's sure to get stuck on the last screen, songs keep playing in the background though but you can't control anything.

Even something weird happened yesterday, I was able to change track and control volume from a frozen screen, just tapping over stucked image. IDK what was that, please look into it @DominicMaas, it is really nerve wracking.

If I understand correctly, the app works fine in the foreground, switch to background (by minimizing), and sometimes if you open the app again it will freeze?

Currently the app is feature frozen for a few months (only YouTube bug fixes) as I re-write a whole lot of stuff for the iOS app, since a good chunk of the UWP app will be re-written I can take a look into redoing the audio system then.

you understood correctly and also, when PC goes in sleep, app closes if no song is playing or paused.

I hope you get time to fix this anytime soon. And also, SoundByte is already amazing, I must appreciate you for that.

hmmm okay, yeah looks like some issues with the audio system and switching in and out of background mode.

Hopefully I can get around to this soon, lots of uni stuff, work and the iOS app pending first, but trying my best to manage time haha.

Thanks for the kind words!
