This is not on the milestone for 1.5 stable, but it is on the next milestone (not published yet).

We have this and other ideas listed here: #94

Thanks for clarifying, @JeodC. I was a bit surprised that no one had formally raised this issue here yet, since it is an obvious quality-of-life improvement that 99% of Descent 3 fans would want.
