I use A1111's txt2img API for generation extensively. I have observed that when I create a new machine, occasionally A1111 does not switch to the mentioned model (say model2) in "override_settings"."sd_model_checkpoint" (the model is present on the machine) if the new model's hash has not been calculated. Instead, it sticks with the last model (say, model1) that ran. If I go to webui and select model2 and then fire an API request, things work as expected and the mentioned model (model1 and model2) are both used easily.
The problem is magnified multifold when I use controlnet (from https://github.com/Mikubill/sd-webui-controlnet) extension. If model1's hash is calculated and I send a request to txt2img with model2, it just doesn't switch models ever till I run at least one generation per model beforehand.
I am using v1.9.0 of A1111 and commit fa72f3e7b52b6d2073d5dbc01a898f6d7c794986 of controlnet
